Patti Maxine on Steel Guitar with Joshua Lowe on Banjo & Guitar & Matt Bohn on Bass - Saturday, June 4

Join us for Mountain Melodies — Santa Cruz icon Patti Maxine with friends from the mountains.

Joshua Lowe and Patti Maxine have worked together for many years. Patti Maxine's lap steel guitar blends beautifully with Joshua's voice and acoustic guitar and Matt Bohn on bass. Whether it is a folk ballad, a rowdy country tune, or one of their many original songs, they bring a natural ease and joy to their performances. Their shared love of music is evident in each song they play. Old friends playing good music for good people. It's as simple as that.

Lap steel virtuoso Patti Maxine is one of the hardest working musicians in Santa Cruz, California. A session player in constant demand, Patti plays most nights of the week. A musical Swiss army knife, she handles a wide variety of styles with ease, sliding gracefully from Hawaiian to swing, from R&B and rock, from blues to jazz and back again.

AZA — Saturday, June 11

Moroccan Music with AZA closes the spring series on June 11th. Come hear the amazing soul-searching music of these two brothers.

AZA founders Fattah Abbou and Mohamed Aoualou unite their traditional Berber music, indigenous to the Atlas Mountains of Morocco, with an original style of soaring vocals and soulful melodies. Visually dynamic and engaging performers, AZA has been inspiring international audiences for more than 15 years.
