Community: Public Programs

Tandy Beal & Company believes in the power of the imagination and knows the capacity to imagine is not only the root of art, but also of empathy.  TBC brings joyful experiences to schools, businesses and the community.

In our program Crack the Nut, we can include your local community performers alongside our professional artists in circus, song and dance. Master classes are available in each of these arts forms. Inquire Here!

With HereAfterHere: a self-guided tour of eternity, we work with you to develop rich community partnerships and benefit concerts. This event brings together leaders in science, religion, law and art, with panels, workshops, films, and classes all available to the public.

In Your Shoes is a series of ‘art actions’ to encourage empathy-- in the schools, businesses and the streets and malls. A little bit of Art—and a whole lot of Heart! One example: A Gesture of Kindness invites people on the street to show their own gesture which we film, later to be incorporated into a flashmob event designed by Tandy Beal. In Your Shoes is in its pilot form this coming year.

Our Team Building Workshops for Corporations include:
*Listening with Everything You’ve Got
*So You Do it THAT way
*How We all Fit Together

Mangia Del Arte is a dance, circus and music concert designed to be a fundraising event for non-profits. We have done this for the past 3 years at Lobero Theatre in Santa Barbara, Noe Valley Ministries (SF), Sunset Center (Carmel), Cesar Chavez Library (Salinas).

Leadership Circles - Each of our projects is an adventure in entrepreneurship. Every year, Tandy Beal and Company asks community members to bring their expertise and networking to help us grow our projects: Ideas about community connections, how to spread the word, and general magic! If you have skills to contribute or an interest in working on a particular project or show, please contact us to join a Leadership Circle today!

Our First Saturday Family Concert Series (the public portion of our ArtSmart educational program)  brings excellent professional artists in music, dance and circus to downtown Santa Cruz every First Saturday!
