Jon Scoville Futurespective Celebration

Tickets Here

When asked what kind of music he composes, renowned Santa Cruz artist Jon Scoville answered with a twinkle in his eye, “Good music, I hope!”

Scoville’s co-conspirator, Tandy Beal, expanded: Jon is a rare composer who can get you up dancing, bring you to tears, feel the mystery of it all, scratch your head and wonder, make you laugh, and feel the magic of being alive.” And Beal should know, as her company has commissioned over 150 scores of his!

The San Francisco Chronicle lauds Scoville’s eclectic and adventurous works as “…evocative, lyrical, and multi-shaded…various and impressive.” While the Honolulu Star Bulletin heralds his “Wild, marvelous music!” and The New York Times notes its “shrewdly textured” pulse that “underlines the dance’s tribal imagery.”

This special evening will celebrate Jon Scoville’s remarkable career and body of work.
